Sinn Féin keeps its MEP and wins European Elections in Northern Ireland

Sinn Féin's Martina Anderson topped the vote with 126,951 first preferences. Diane Dodds of the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) was second, with 124,991. They look set to retain their seats in the European Parliament, with Alliance Party leader Naomi Long strongly placed to take the region's third seat from the Ulster Unionist Party (UUP).
