The so called 'Diada' (Big Day) was held today in defense of the
language. Around 8,000 people have participated this Saturday in the Day
for Language, Culture and Civil Rights organized by Obra Cultural
Balear (OCB) with the support of various entities. The act, lively and
festive, has served to once again claim the strength of the island
society in the defense of collective rights. It started at 5:00 pm in
two different places in Palma and children and their families have
enjoyed the most popular songs of the island.
