Breton Party 1st annual Feast

It was held in Iffendic on April 28th. Gael Fleurent, president of the Breton Party, introduced the work day. The party invited over the Breizh Europe as well as the European Federalist Party. Both have formed a joint list for the May European elections. Aziliz Gouez from the Place Publique list was one of the speakers too. The list is promoted by Raphaël Glucksmann, from the french Socialist party. Jean-Pierre Lévesque presented the European petition for minority rights.

Irish diplomatic Erwan Fouéré spoke too about the new Europe after Brexit. Fouéré is the son of Breton thinker and militant Yann Fouéré exiled in Ireland decades ago. A debate ensued on the internal European borders: posted workers, control at the external borders: European officials at Frontex.? The agreement has not yet been made on this point, and he is happy to see that ideas can be exchanged with respect and courtesy. On the other hand the place of the regions in Europe was debated too, the control of these regions, the charter of minority languages, the coofficiality of these languages, federalism, the French decentralization to create "only 14% of funds Europeans are consumed in France, because the files go through Paris "recalled Erwan Fouéré, the consensus is again present.

The veteran Breton activist Thierry Jigourel came to present his series of comics on the History of Brittany, stating clearly that this is the history of Bretons, not Brittany.
