Secondary School students call for the right to learn in Corsican

Several institutional buildings, including the prefecture, in the city of Aiacciu (Ajaccio), the capital of Corsica, were blockaded on 21st February  by secondary school students calling for the right to learn Corsican. The actions were organised by the Parlemu Corsu. The protest was triggered by proposed education reforms which would cut the teaching of 'regional' languages in public education. Parlemu Corsu have called for a general mobilisation for March 17th in Aiacciu.
