The Partit de la Nacion Occitana (PNO) was founded by François (Francés) Fontan in 1959 who died twenty years later. The party celebrated its birthday in Rodés where the Occitan festival Estivada is held. Several parties of Nations Without State were at the event: Oui au Pays Catalan, the Basque National Party, Strollad Breizh/Breton Party from Brittany. Other Occitan political movements as the Occitan Party, Bastir and País Nòstre also were at the event.The film 'E i a lo soleh' about the work and ideology of Fontan, who defended the independende of Occitania, and a debate composed the celebration with a message from Jean-Louis Veyrac, Fontan secretary.
