20,000 march on Galician national day for Independence

Thousands of people gathered in Santiago de Compostela, Monday, to march in support of the annual national demonstration for the Galician people known as 'Galician Fatherland Day' (Dia da Patria Galega). The Galician Nationalist Block was the most successful with a rally of almost 20,000 people. Half a thousand marched with the movement Causa Galiza a bit more radical than the BNG. Yesterday Ceivar did a human chain for the political prisoners held by Spanish occupation forces and the new Mocidade Pola Independencia attrackted hundreds in its first demonstration.
