Irish Republicans 'attempt to kill police' in Craigavon, Northern Ireland

Dissident Republicans tried to murder British police officers during an attack in Craigavon, County Armagh, at about midnight on Friday 26th July, a loud bang was heard in the Tullygally Road area of the town. A "viable device" was later found. Police said they believe the attack was set up to target officers responding to a call from the public. Continuity IRA claimed the attack.
