The so called Movimiento Proamnistía y Contra la Represión (Movement for Amnesty and Against Repression), a dissident pro independence group, organized the rally on August 24th. Under the slogan 'Borroka egitea zilegi da. Amnistia osoa' they demanded amnesty for the political prisoners and defended the legitimacy of the Basque national liberation fight.
