The Feestdag van de Vlaamse Gemeenschap was celebrated on July 11th to mark the
anniversary of the Battle of the Golden Spurs (Guldensporenslag) in 1302. One of the successful events was in Ninove or Halle to celebrate Flemish culture. But there were celebrations all over the country as in Meent with the N-VA or the July 11 committee of Beernem who organized another open-air concert in the context of Flanders party on Saturday. Group leader Gijs Degrande (N-VA) is looking forward to a summer evening with Beernems talent. In Antwerpen Voorpost was joined by some hundreds in a cultural event too.
